13 killed, 10 injured in 18 shootings in 2026: Police

A total of 18 shooting incidents have been reported across the country so far this year, according to the Police Headquarters.The latest figures include two separate shooting incidents reported within the past 24 hours in the Piliyandala and Dehiwala police divisions.Police said that 13 people have been killed and 10 others injured in the 18 shooting incidents reported to date.Further investigations into the recent shootings are underway.
