Colombo’s Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) has issued an urgent appeal to parents and guardians to bring five essential medical documents when bringing children for treatment or clinic visits, as the hospital experiences a sharp rise in patient admissions due to the ongoing dengue outbreak. LRH Director Dr. Pradeep Rathnasekara said the number of children seeking treatment at the hospital has increased significantly because of the prevailing dengue situation. He said the cooperation of parents and guardians is essential to ensure children receive prompt and efficient medical care despite the heavy patient load. Accordingly, parents are requested to bring the following documents whenever they bring a child to the hospital for treatment or clinic appointments:

Personal Health Number (PHN) or Barcode Card Child Health Development Record (CHDR) or Weight Record Book Drug and food allergy records Clinic books Hospital discharge cards or diagnosis cards
