The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) will host the Sri Lanka Corporate Director Summit 2026 on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 9.00 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo. Held under the theme “Future-Ready Sri Lankan Directors – From Compliance to Sustainable Growth,” the premier boardroom leadership event marks SLID’s 25th anniversary. The summit will bring together an exceptional lineup of international business leaders, governance experts, and leading domestic directors to address whether modern boards are equipped to move beyond regulatory compliance toward strategic leadership in an increasingly volatile global environment. The summit will feature high-profile international speakers, including former Maldives President and Speaker Mohamed Nasheed, who will address sustainability, resilience, and ESG frameworks. He will be joined by Prof. Selva Pankaj, Group Chairman of Regent Global, and Priyan Fernando, an international corporate advisor, both focusing on strategic leadership through economic uncertainty. With rapid digital transformation reshaping industries, technology governance will take center stage. Duleesha Kulasooriya, Asia Pacific Innovation Leader at Deloitte’s Center for the Edge, and Prof. Harin Sellahewa, Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Law, and Psychology at the University of Buckingham, will lead sessions examining the board’s role in overseeing artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and emerging ethical risks. Human capital priorities will be addressed by Himanshu Priyadarshi, Partner at Boston Consulting Group, alongside Prof. Deba Bardhan Correia of the University of Buckingham and Rajiv Krishnan, CEO of Ma Foi Strategic Consultants, who will discuss talent development and workplace resilience in an AI-driven economy. Designed as a day of dynamic, interactive boardroom conversations across four distinct technical sessions, the event will conclude with a flagship Fireside Chat titled “Building Future-Ready Sri Lankan Boards – The Road Ahead”. This final segment will bring together prominent local chairpersons, CEOs, and regulators to define the governance mindsets required to enhance Sri Lanka’s long-term economic competitiveness and corporate value.
