Train services at the Colombo Fort Railway Station have been disrupted after a train derailed at the station a short while ago, blocking operations on two platforms.The incident occurred at around 4:35 p.m. when Train No. 1164, scheduled to depart from the Colombo Fort Station for Rambukkana at 4:45 p.m., derailed while attempting to enter the platform after arriving late.According to reports, two wheels of one carriage had come off the tracks during the derailment. This is reportedly the second such incident involving the same train, which had also derailed in a similar manner on July 7. Railway authorities are currently working to remove the obstruction and restore normal operations.Meanwhile, several other office trains scheduled to run during the evening peak hours may experience minor delays due to the disruption, railway authorities stated.
