Police in the Ahungalla division have arrested a teenager following a drug seizure operation in the Galbokka area, recovering a substantial quantity of crystal methamphetamine.

Law enforcement officers attached to Ahungalla Police Station arrested a 19-year-old suspect during a targeted operation in the Galbokka locality yesterday, acting on information received from the public. The suspect, identified as a resident of Kosgoda, was intercepted while travelling by motorcycle.

During the apprehension, police recovered approximately 204 grams and 660 milligrams of 'Ice', commonly known as crystal methamphetamine, from the individual's possession. The quantity seized suggests the suspect may have been involved in drug distribution rather than personal consumption.

Ahungalla Police Division has initiated further investigations into the matter to determine the broader circumstances surrounding the arrest, including potential links to larger drug trafficking networks. Authorities are seeking to establish details about the source of the narcotics and whether the suspect had connections to other individuals involved in illicit drug activities in the region.
