During the discussion, special attention was paid to how to continue to advance the existing RAMIS (Revenue Administration Management Information System) system in the Inland Revenue Department and the process of obtaining it at the national level, identifying the current shortcomings in the RAMIS system and providing technical solutions for this. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake pointed out that digitization is essential for effective tax administration. The main objectives of this initiative, namely reducing tax fraud, simplifying the tax system, increasing tax transparency and introducing POS (Point of Sale) machines for transactions, were also discussed here.
