A 22-year-old motorcyclist from Dambadeniya died following a road accident in Giriulla after his motorcycle struck a trailer being towed by a tractor.
A fatal road accident in the Pahala Katugampala area of Giriulla has claimed the life of a 22-year-old motorcyclist. According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle, which was travelling at high speed, collided with the rear of a trailer attached to a tractor that was ahead on the road.
The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries in the impact and was rushed to Dambadeniya Hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at the medical facility. Police have identified the deceased as a resident of the Dambadeniya area.
Giriulla Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The investigation will likely examine factors including road conditions, visibility, and the speed at which both vehicles were travelling at the time of the collision.
