Two of India's most celebrated restaurants, Indian Accent Mumbai and Ekaa, will present a special two-night dining experience at Indiya in Colombo on August 7-8, 2026, featuring curated tasting menus that blend traditional Indian cuisine with contemporary culinary techniques.
Indiya at City of Dreams Sri Lanka will host an exclusive collaboration between two acclaimed Indian restaurants this August, bringing Executive Chef Rijul Gulati from Indian Accent Mumbai and Chef Niyati Rao from Ekaa to present specially designed dining experiences. The two-night event on August 7-8 will showcase distinct culinary approaches through vegetarian and non-vegetarian Chef's Tasting Menus that draw from India's diverse gastronomic traditions.
Indian Accent, recognised internationally as a pioneering establishment in modern Indian dining, operates locations in New Delhi, New York and Mumbai. The restaurant has earned recognition from Time Magazine as one of the World's 100 Greatest Places and is known for seamlessly combining traditional flavours with contemporary techniques. Ekaa, meanwhile, represents Mumbai's contemporary dining scene and operates on an ingredient-driven philosophy that emphasises seasonal produce, cultural influences and personal narratives. Chef Niyati Rao has received recognition on both Forbes India and Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 lists.
The collaborative menu will feature dishes including Papdi Chaat with Crackling Spinach, Blue Cheese Naan, Black Cod with Masala Carrot and Apricot Chutney, and concludes with Daulat Ki Chaat and Risalamande with pandan rice gelato. According to the chefs, the experience represents a dialogue between two distinct culinary philosophies, merging Indian Accent's globally informed reinterpretation of classics with Ekaa's thoughtful, ingredient-focused methodology.
