Insurance company Allianz Lanka has extended its islandwide road safety campaign to Kurunegala and Kuliyapitiya, utilizing over 6,000 three-wheelers as mobile platforms for awareness messaging across the country.

Allianz Lanka has progressed its commitment to improving road safety by bringing its awareness campaign to central Sri Lankan communities. The expansion into Kurunegala and Kuliyapitiya represents the latest phase of an initiative that began in May 2026, with the company conducting targeted activations in these areas to promote accident prevention and responsible road conduct.

The campaign's strategy centers on three-wheelers, which serve as a primary mode of transport for many Sri Lankans. More than 6,000 three-wheelers nationwide now display road safety messaging, creating a widespread platform to reach drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and other road users. By embedding safety messages into daily commutes, Allianz Lanka aims to foster mindful driving behaviors and heightened awareness across communities.

As an incentive for participating three-wheeler operators, Allianz Lanka is providing one year of complimentary accidental death coverage to drivers involved in the initiative. The company framed this benefit as additional protection for those who spend extended periods operating vehicles on Sri Lankan roads. Allianz Lanka, a subsidiary of Munich-based Allianz SE, describes itself as part of a global financial services organization with primary operations in insurance and asset management. According to the company, its parent entity has been ranked the world's leading insurance brand for seven consecutive years by Interbrand's Best Global Brands ranking.
