Anjalie Munasinghe, a public relations manager at Mark and Comm, has been named Secretary of CIPR International, the international chapter of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Anjalie Munasinghe, currently serving as Manager of PR and Social Intelligence at Mark and Comm, a Colombo-based communications firm, has taken on the role of Secretary for CIPR International, the global chapter of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Munasinghe brings more than a decade of experience in public relations, account management, and media monitoring to the position. Her career includes roles at multiple prominent agencies in Sri Lanka's communications sector. Most recently, she was employed at AdFactors PR Sri Lanka as a Consultant focused on digital reputation management, where she managed real-time media intelligence and analysis. Prior to that, she held positions as Manager of Public Relations at MullenLowe Sri Lanka and Senior Public Relations Executive at HardTalk.
Taazima Kala, Chair of CIPR International, praised Munasinghe's appointment, noting that her background in crisis communications and media intelligence align with the needs of the organization's leadership committee. According to Kala, Munasinghe's regional expertise and hands-on experience in the public relations field will strengthen the committee's work.
CIPR International operates as a network for public relations professionals across five continents, with nearly 1,000 members. The appointment reflects recognition of local expertise within Sri Lanka's communications industry and represents continued engagement of the island's PR practitioners in international professional bodies.
