Two players have secured spots in the Under-18 girls singles championship match at Sri Lanka's premier domestic tennis tournament, while finalists have also been determined in the Under-14 categories.

Annaya Norbert and Gehansa Methnadhi progressed to the Under-18 girls singles final of the Tennis Nationals following semi-final matches held on Thursday. Norbert defeated Sandithi Usgodaarach in a tightly fought contest that ended 7-6, 6-3, with the opening set requiring all the competitor's composure before Norbert established control in the second set.

Methnadhi took a different path to the final, requiring three sets to overcome Akeesha Silva. After winning the first set decisively at 6-1, Methnadhi faced a comeback attempt from Silva, who levelled the match by taking the second set 7-5. However, Methnadhi regained her composure in the deciding set, securing a 6-1 victory to confirm her place in the championship decider.

The Under-14 categories also produced their finalists on the same day. In the boys' competition, Revan Amarasinghe of S. Thomas' College and Chirath Subasinghe of St. Peter's College will compete for the title. Amarasinghe won his semi-final decisively against Jathya Thalammera with a 6-1, 6-3 scoreline, while Subasinghe staged a comeback against Akil Perera, dropping the first set 3-6 before recovering to win 6-3, 6-2.

Navya Banagala of Visakha Vidyalaya and Jennifer Mercy of St. Joseph's Balika Vidyalaya advanced to the girls' Under-14 final, both achieving their victories without dropping a set. Banagala defeated Risindi Hewawasam 6-2, 6-2, while Mercy overcame Sheshandri Fernando by an identical scoreline. The championships continue at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts in Colombo, featuring junior competitions across Under-12, Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 categories.
