Industrial chemical manufacturer Antler General Industries unveiled its latest innovations at an exclusive launch event on 23 July, showcasing its expansion beyond screen printing inks into multiple industrial sectors.
Antler General Industries marked a milestone in its operations with a product launch held at Shangri-La Colombo on 23 July, bringing together industry partners, customers, and international guests under the theme "Formulated for the Future." The event highlighted the company's transition from its origins as a screen printing ink manufacturer to a diversified producer of industrial chemical solutions across multiple sectors.
Founded in 1979 by Ananda Jayasinghe, who is recognised as the Father of Screen Printing in Sri Lanka, Antler has expanded its portfolio significantly over the decades. The company now serves various industries including apparel pad printing, textile processing, glove manufacturing, and coatings for steel structures and fleet manufacturing. Company leadership, including Chairman Mrs. Ashani Jayasinghe, CEO Mr. Suranga Gallage, and Deputy General Manager Mr. Sudershon Loganathan, presented the new product range at the event, emphasizing the research and technical expertise invested in each development.
A notable element of the launch was the recognition of Antler's strategic partnership with Neo-Chem India, a textile processing and specialty chemicals company with over 45 years of industry experience. The collaboration was highlighted as an effort to strengthen regional innovation and chemical development. The event featured an interactive product showcase where guests could examine Antler's latest offerings and consult with technical experts, demonstrating the company's commitment to advancing industrial chemistry solutions in Sri Lanka and regionally.
