The Department of Examinations has begun accepting appeals for the re-scrutiny of answer scripts from the 2026 Grade Five Scholarship Examination, according to an announcement by Commissioner General A.K.S. Indika Kumari Liyanage. The appeal window opened on September 7 and will close on September 21, 2026.
The Grade Five Scholarship Examination is used to select students for school placement and scholarship awards. All appeals must be submitted through an online system rather than through conventional channels.
School principals are responsible for lodging appeals on behalf of their candidates. They must access the SCHOOL LOGIN section of the Department of Examinations' online portal at https://onlineexams.gov.lk using credentials previously issued to their schools, then submit the appeal through the same platform. No alternative submission methods have been indicated.
