Sri Lanka's Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Sunil Handunneththi announced that a series of investment discussions with Australian business leaders have resulted in commitments to fund projects aimed at strengthening the country's productive economy. The engagement brought together representatives from the Board of Investment, the Export Development Board, and other government agencies to explore opportunities across multiple sectors.
The discussions encompassed a diverse range of areas including renewable energy development, sustainable textile manufacturing technologies, commercial dairy and livestock operations, plastic recycling facilities within industrial zones, aquaculture ventures, and tourism projects with environmental focus. These initiatives represent a cross-sectoral approach to economic development spanning agriculture, manufacturing, and services.
