Nepalese authorities are currently engaged in ongoing search and rescue operations for missing individuals, while contending with additional hazards including the threat of further flooding and widespread destruction of essential facilities. The humanitarian crisis has placed significant strain on Nepal's government and population, necessitating urgent international relief efforts.
According to officials, the Cabinet's decision to approve the assistance proposal submitted by the President was informed by the historical relationship between the two nations.
