Citizens Development Business Finance PLC will introduce its new Private Wealth proposition for affluent clients at the CDB Monthly Medal golf tournament in September, marking the third year of the company's partnership with the Royal Colombo Golf Club.
Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) has announced plans to launch CDB Private Wealth, a new service targeting high-net-worth individuals and business leaders, at the September edition of the CDB Monthly Medal at the Royal Colombo Golf Club. The tournament will take place on 11 and 12 September 2026, with the event designed to serve as both a sporting fixture and a networking platform for the company's target clientele.
The partnership between CDB and the Monthly Medal has entered its third consecutive year. According to CDB's MD/CEO Mahesh Nanayakkara, the collaboration extends beyond competitive golf, positioning the tournament as an engagement opportunity with Sri Lanka's business and professional community. The company views the event as aligned with its corporate values, including excellence, discipline, and relationship-building.
The tournament will remain open to Royal Colombo Golf Club members across both men's and women's categories. In addition to the sporting competition, the event will feature networking and hospitality activities, providing CDB with direct access to introduce its Private Wealth services to affluent members in a professional setting.
Royal Colombo Golf Club Captain Mahela Jayawardena commended CDB's continued sponsorship, noting that the partnership has elevated the Monthly Medal into one of the club's most anticipated annual fixtures. He highlighted that the collaboration creates opportunities for members to engage beyond the sport itself, fostering community connections.
