COLOMBO (News 1st);The Colombo High Court has ordered that the case filed against 11 defendants, including former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran and former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake, regarding the Central Bank bond scam is to be called again on September 9.The case was called today for the first time before a three-judge bench consisting of Judges Priyantha Liyanage, Viraj Weerasuriya, and Thilakaratne Bandara.The Attorney General has filed this case under the Public Property Act against 11 defendants, including former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran, former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake, Perpetual Treasuries Limited, and its board members Arjuna Aloysius and Geoffrey Aloysius, over irregularities that occurred during a Central Bank bond auction held in March 2016.
