The Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Healthcare Federation, Dr. Anne Musuva, accompanied by her team, paid a courtesy call on the Acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Kenya, Ruvini De Silva, at the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Nairobi.The meeting served as a pre-briefing in preparation for Sri Lanka Expo 2027 and the upcoming briefing sessions scheduled to be held on 25 September 2026 in Nairobi and on 2 October 2026 in Mombasa, aimed at promoting Sri Lanka's export and investment opportunities among the Kenyan business community.During the discussions, both sides explored avenues to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector, including the promotion of medical tourism, medical student exchange programmes, collaboration with hospital architects and healthcare infrastructure developers, and other mutually beneficial business and investment opportunities.The Acting High Commissioner highlighted Sri Lanka's strengths in healthcare services, medical education, and related industries, while reaffirming the High Commission's commitment to facilitating partnerships between Sri Lankan and Kenyan stakeholders. Dr. Musuva expressed the Kenya Healthcare Federation's interest in expanding collaboration with Sri Lanka and supporting initiatives that would foster stronger commercial and institutional linkages between the two countries.The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to maintain close engagement in the lead-up to Sri Lanka Expo 2027 and to explore concrete areas of cooperation that would benefit the healthcare sectors of both Sri Lanka and Kenya.
