A clash has reportedly broken out during a second-round match of the ‘Hatton League Mayor's Cup’ football tournament at the Hatton Dunbar Play Ground.The incident had occurred yesterday (11), during the match between Young Mates FC and Norwood Sunrise FC.According to reports, the altercation began with seven minutes remaining in the match. At the time, Young Mates FC was leading 3-1.As tensions escalated on the field, several spectators entered the ground, leading to a physical confrontation.Following a complaint lodged with the Hatton Police, officers responded promptly to the venue and brought the situation under control.In the aftermath of the incident, Norwood Sunrise FC reportedly requested the match officials to allow the remaining seven minutes of play to be completed at a different venue due to the prevailing situation.The tournament organisers are expected to make a decision on the matter in due course.
