A formal complaint has been submitted to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption regarding the non-recovery of compensation funds related to the X-Press Pearl incident. The complaint centers on allegations that responsible parties have failed to secure the approximately US$999 million that Sri Lanka is entitled to receive as a result of the disaster.
