Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner Georgina Rodríguez in a civil ceremony in Portugal, with their five children in attendance.

Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married model and influencer Georgina Rodríguez in a civil ceremony held in Cascais, a coastal town near Lisbon, on 11 August. According to Portuguese media reports, the couple's five children attended the celebration. Ronaldo announced the marriage through an Instagram post featuring an image of two hands wearing wedding rings, which garnered over three million likes within half an hour.

The pair have maintained a relationship spanning a decade, having first met at a Gucci boutique in Madrid when Rodríguez was employed there. At the time, Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid. They became engaged exactly one year prior to their wedding, on 11 August of the previous year, when Rodríguez shared a photograph of her engagement ring on social media accompanied by a message in Spanish stating "Yes I do. In this and in all my lives."

Ronaldo's marriage comes at a significant point in his football career. The 38-year-old has scored nearly 1,000 goals throughout his professional life, playing for numerous clubs including Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, and the Portuguese national team. He recently participated in his sixth FIFA World Cup, equalling a record for men's tournament appearances that he shares with Argentine player Lionel Messi.
