Flash floods along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers in Nepal have claimed 31 lives, with dozens more injured and rescued as emergency teams search for additional missing persons.

Catastrophic flooding in Nepal's Bagmati Province has resulted in at least 31 confirmed deaths, according to the Bagmati Province Police Office in Hetauda. The disaster originated in the Rasuwa border region and spread downstream through multiple river corridors, affecting several districts including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and Chitwan.

Beyond the fatalities, the flooding has injured 93 people across the affected areas. Emergency response teams comprising personnel from the Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police have conducted active search-and-rescue operations, successfully extracting 93 individuals from damaged settlements and dangerous riverbank locations.

Relief and recovery efforts remain ongoing throughout the province as authorities work to locate missing persons and provide medical treatment to the injured. The full extent of damage to infrastructure and livelihoods in the region continues to be assessed.
