COLOMBO (News 1st): The rate of dengue case reporting has decreased in 4 districts.Dr. Kapila Kannangara, Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, stated that this trend is being observed in the Galle, Matara, Ratnapura, and Kegalle districts.However, he noted that the reporting of cases remains at a high level in several districts, including Colombo, Gampaha, and Puttalam.Meanwhile, a special dengue control program is continuing today in 23 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) areas identified as high-risk for dengue spread within the Western Province.Chamil Muthukuda, Secretary of the Public Health Inspectors' Association of Sri Lanka, stated that legal action has been taken against the owners of over 8,000 premises where dengue mosquito larvae were found.The number of dengue patients reported so far this year is 62,422.39 people have died due to dengue.
