The National Dengue Control Unit has stated that the number of dengue cases reported from the Western Province is approaching the 35,000-mark, as it remains the worst impacted province.The total number of dengue cases reported across the country so far this year stands at 66,064.Meanwhile, the dengue-related death toll has risen to 46 as of today (10).The National Dengue Control Unit further noted that 13,556 dengue cases have been reported from the Gampaha District, 13,355 from the Colombo District, 4,699 from the Matara District, and 4,425 from the Kalutara District during this year.
