Dialog Axiata has renewed its title sponsorship of the annual Sri Lanka Cricket Awards for three additional years, continuing a partnership spanning over 13 years with Sri Lanka Cricket.
The 2025 Sri Lanka Cricket Awards will take place on 6 August at Cinnamon Life, with Dialog Axiata PLC confirmed as the title sponsor for the next three years. The telecommunications company has maintained its partnership with Sri Lanka Cricket for more than 13 years, supporting cricket development across all levels from junior programmes to national team competitions.
The awards ceremony recognises outstanding performances by Sri Lankan cricketers in both international and domestic competitions. The main honours include the Men's Cricketer of the Year and Women's Cricketer of the Year awards, while an Emerging Cricketer of the Year category has been introduced to acknowledge rising young talent. Beyond these top categories, awards will be distributed across international and domestic divisions, including Under-23 competitions, women's cricket, and various domestic tournaments such as the Premier League and Club T20 competitions.
Dialog's extended commitment reflects its broader sports sponsorship strategy in Sri Lanka. According to Group Chief Executive Supun Weerasinghe, "Cricket has an extraordinary ability to unite Sri Lankans, transcending generations and communities through a shared passion for the game." Beyond cricket, Dialog sponsors the national volleyball and esports teams, supports school cricket through the Dialog Big Match Season, and serves as the official telecommunications partner of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka. The company is also involved in sponsoring golf, paralympic sports, and rugby development programmes across the country.
