43 people injured in a SLTB bus overturning near the Diyatalawa railway station this morning are still receiving in-patient treatment in hospital. All of them were first admitted to the Diyatalawa Base Hospital. Several people in critical condition were then transferred to the Badulla Teaching Hospital, the Neth News correspondent said. The SLTB bus, which was travelling from Colombo to Badulla, met with the accident only at 1 am this morning. There were 63 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident. Due to the accident, train services on the Upcountry Railway Line were blocked near the Diyatalawa railway station. However, the Neth News correspondent added that the obstructions have been removed and train services are now operating as normal.
