COLOMBO (News 1st); The final report of the committee appointed to formulate recommendations for the establishment of an Education Council has received the approval of the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.The approval was granted when the Committee met in Parliament under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.Deputy Minister Mahinda Jayasinghe, who chaired the sub-committee on the establishment of the proposed Education Council, presented the report to the Consultative Committee.The report incorporates the observations and recommendations of the panel of experts appointed to formulate proposals for the creation of the Education Council.Following discussions and the consideration of views and suggestions put forward by members of the Ministerial Consultative Committee, the report received the Committee's approval.
