The High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Delhi was delighted to host the Award Ceremony of the Sri Lanka Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) Project, supported by the India–Sri Lanka Foundation and implemented by the Rotary Club of Delhi Resources. Bringing together students from schools across Delhi NCR, the project invited young minds to discover Sri Lanka through art, essays, poetry and performance. The result was an inspiring celebration of creativity, curiosity and the enduring friendship between Sri Lanka and India. The award ceremony featured cultural performances, including dance, music and poetry, alongside an exhibition of the winning paintings and essays. The students' reflections were thoughtful and heartfelt—one describing India and Sri Lanka as "a 2,500-year-old dialogue between two countries," while another beautifully observed that "the Palk Strait was not a barrier but a bridge." Congratulating the participants, High Commissioner Mahishini Colonne noted that the greatest achievement of the project was not simply learning about another country, but fostering understanding, respect and friendship among the next generation. The High Commission extends its sincere appreciation to the Rotary Club of Delhi Resources, participating schools, teachers, parents and jury members for making this meaningful initiative possible. The future of India–Sri Lanka friendship is being shaped today – one young mind at a time.
