Sri Lanka's expressway network generated substantial toll revenue during a two-day holiday period on August 26 and 27, according to the Road Development Authority. The authority reported total revenue of Rs. 124,574,925 collected across all expressways during this time.

The volume of traffic was relatively evenly distributed across the two days. On August 26, approximately 163,763 vehicles used the expressways, contributing Rs. 60,409,995 in revenue. The following day saw a marginally lower number of vehicles at 161,553, though revenue increased to Rs. 64,164,930. Combined, the network accommodated 325,316 vehicle movements across the two-day period.

The Southern Expressway and Outer Circular Expressway recorded the highest traffic volumes during the holiday period, indicating these routes remain the most heavily utilized sections of the expressway network. The revenue figures suggest consistent toll collection operations during the holiday travel period.
