An individual identified as the father of an alleged organized crime figure known as “Sando” was shot inside the Nisala Sevana Public Cemetery in Mount Lavinia at around 3:25 p.m. today (19), police said.The victim is reportedly a resident of Oban Place in Dehiwala.Police stated that two individuals wearing helmets to conceal their identities entered the cemetery on a scooter-type motorcycle, carried out the shooting, and fled the scene.Preliminary investigations have revealed that the attack was carried out using a 9mm firearm.The victim sustained gunshot injuries to his left arm and chest and is currently receiving treatment at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital in Kalubowila.
