A contemporary group exhibition titled 'Artful Echoes' will feature the works of five accomplished Sri Lankan artists at WelcomGallery, ITC Ratnadipa, from mid to late August 2026.
ITC Ratnadipa's WelcomGallery will host 'Artful Echoes', a group exhibition bringing together five Sri Lankan artists: Swarna Abeytunge, Anura Srinath, Samanthi Hemamali, Nilanthi Weerasekara and B. Wimalaratne. The exhibition runs from 14 to 30 August 2026 and will be open to the public at no charge, offering visitors an opportunity to experience contemporary Sri Lankan art in a hotel setting that combines cultural and hospitality elements.
The exhibition explores thematic connections across diverse artistic practices. While each participating artist maintains a distinct style and medium, their individual works engage with shared subjects including nature, emotion, memory and human experience. According to organisers, the collection demonstrates how artistic individuality can coexist within a unified curatorial framework, creating what they describe as a cohesive visual dialogue.
The initiative reflects ITC Ratnadipa's stated commitment to supporting Sri Lanka's creative sector by providing exhibition space and visibility for local artists. The venue aims to make contemporary art accessible to both local audiences and international visitors, positioning the hotel as a venue where artistic and cultural programming intersect with hospitality services.
Visitors can view the exhibition daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. throughout the two-week period. The organisers have extended invitations to art enthusiasts, collectors and the general public to attend.
