During his time in the UAE, Minister Herath is scheduled to meet with several senior Emirati officials to explore opportunities for enhanced bilateral cooperation. Key meetings include sessions with Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, the UAE's Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism. These discussions are expected to address matters of mutual interest between the two nations.
A prominent element of the visit is Minister Herath's participation in the second edition of "Sri Lanka Beyond Your Dreams," a promotional event being held in Dubai on September 2. The Foreign Ministry indicated that this event, jointly attended by UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, will showcase Sri Lanka's tourism potential and investment opportunities to regional stakeholders.
