Sri Lanka's Government Printing Department will commission a new two-sided four-color printing machine and unveil a redesigned website tomorrow, marking a significant upgrade to the department's operational infrastructure.
The Department of Government Printing is preparing to expand its capabilities with the introduction of modern equipment and digital infrastructure. According to Deputy Minister of Mass Media Kaushalya Ariyarathne, the department will officially commission a newly installed two-sided four-color printing machine at an event scheduled for August 11.
The commissioning ceremony will occur at the Department's premises and will be held under the patronage of Minister of Health and Mass Media Nalinda Jayatissa. The initiative is part of a broader modernization effort that includes the re-launch of the department's official website at www.documents.gov.lk, which has been substantially redesigned.
The new printing machine is expected to enhance the department's operational efficiency and capacity to handle government printing requirements. The simultaneous launch of the revamped website aims to improve digital accessibility and service delivery to citizens and government agencies.
