Health and Media Minister Dr. Malinda Jayatissa recently disclosed that the NPP government had so far recruited 160,000 to the public sector. The Minister said so at the recent handing over of appointments to newly recruited 627 health service assistants (HSA). The Minister said that the first batch of recruits was selected from 88,736 applicants who met the required qualifications.
