The Department of Examinations has released the results of this year's Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, which saw nearly 295,000 students compete across the island.
The results of the 2026 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination are now available online through the Department of Examinations' official website at doenets.lk, the Commissioner General of Examinations announced on Wednesday. Students can access their results by visiting the portal's dedicated results section.
The examination was administered on August 9 at 2,723 examination centres distributed across the country. A total of 294,089 candidates participated in this year's assessment, which represents one of the most significant evaluations in Sri Lanka's school system. According to the Department of Examinations, the cohort comprised 220,366 candidates sitting for the Sinhala medium examination and 73,723 candidates for the Tamil medium.
The Grade 5 Scholarship Examination is a key milestone in Sri Lankan education, determining eligibility for entry into selective schools and scholarship programmes. Candidates and their families can now check individual results through the online portal using their examination registration details.
