COLOMBO (News 1st) - A Clinical Management and Standard Guidelines on Dengue Surveillance and Prevention for all universities in Sri Lanka will be launched today (20).The launch ceremony is scheduled to take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Ministry of Higher Education.Deputy Minister of Higher Education Madhura Seneviratne said the guidelines aim to introduce a structured framework for the early detection of dengue cases, proper clinical management of patients, strengthened disease surveillance, and measures to prevent mosquito breeding across all universities in Sri Lanka.Meanwhile, the number of dengue cases reported so far this year has risen to 75,321.Acting Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, said 53 deaths have been reported due to dengue so far this year.
