In this situation, the third suspect, Aruna Varuna Hendrike, purchased a “BMW” luxury car in 2024 and renovated his house with high-class luxury facilities. Meanwhile, the first suspect, Sarith Abeysinghe, also purchased a “Range Rover” luxury jeep in 2024 and built a modern house in the Kahathuduwa area. The three suspects, who have been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Bribery, Corruption and Fraud, have been remanded in custody until July 3.
