Entrepreneur Hassan Alaldeen, former Colombo mayoral candidate of the Sarvajana Balaya Party, has formally joined the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
He was appointed as Dehiwala Electorate Organizer by SLPP National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa.
Alaldeen, who previously served as Media Secretary and Executive Committee member of Sarvajana Balaya, made the switch following his resignation from all party positions last week.
In his resignation letter handed to General Secretary Ranjan Seneviratne, he cited personal reasons for stepping down. (Newswire)
