Hayleys Fentons Limited has successfully completed a manufacturing facility for Shield Restraint Systems (Pvt) Ltd at the Wathupitiwala Export Processing Zone, delivering the project on schedule approximately 14 months after the foundation stone was laid on January 7, 2025. The facility, valued at over LKR 1 billion, represents a significant foreign direct investment project aimed at producing premium safety restraint systems for the global automotive industry.
The project is considered among the more technically complex industrial builds undertaken by Hayleys Fentons, requiring adherence to stringent international compliance standards and precision engineering specifications. According to the company, delivering such a facility within the agreed timeline demonstrates the capacity of Sri Lankan construction expertise to meet global standards.
