The Health Ministry yesterday warned of an organised racket that fleeces health workers seeking transfers. A senior Ministry official said that some individuals had sought money from the nursing staff promising them transfers to hospitals of their choice. The official urged them not to be deceived as transfers couldn’t be influenced by outsiders and the Ministry wouldn’t take responsibility for payments made to outsiders.
