The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Canberra successfully conducted a Consular  Mobile Services in April and 04 July 2026 at the Glenwood Community Hub, Sydney. The Consular Mobile Service provided a range of essential consular services and  information to members of the Sri Lankan community residing in Sydney and  surrounding areas. The initiative enabled members of the community to access consular  services closer to their place of residence, while further strengthening the High  Commission's engagement with the Sri Lankan diaspora in Australia. The two Consular Mobile Services generated revenue amounting to over LKR ten  million through the provision of consular services, demonstrating both the strong  demand for these services and the effectiveness of the High Commission's outreach  initiatives. The High Commission expresses its sincere appreciation to the Sri Lankan community,  Punaruda Organisation, Sydney and all volunteers whose valuable assistance,  dedication, and support contributed to the successful organization and smooth conduct  of the Consular Mobile Service. The mobile services were conducted by Deputy High Commissioner, Wishwanath  Aponsu, Attaché, Gihani Jayasiri and Consular Officer Manoj Amarasinghe of the High  Commission of Sri Lanka in Canberra.
