The Homagama Magistrate’s Court has fined the Homagama bus depot Rs. 25,000 after mosquito breeding sites were found within its premises. Homagama Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya imposed the fine on Thursday (02) after a case was filed by the Pitipana Public Health Inspector attached to the Homagama Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Office. Court was told that health authorities had issued four separate red notices to the depot, instructing its management to clean the premises before legal action was initiated. (Newswire)
