Sri Lanka Vocational Training Authority Students’ Seminar on Mediation Board
An awareness seminar on the activities of the Mediation Board and the activities of the Social Security Board for students undergoing training at the Mullaitivu Regional Centre of the Vocational Training Authority was held at the Mullaitivu Training Centre on Monday (14) from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. S. Lakshman, District Officer of the Mediation Board, and Mr. K. Sanjeevan, District Coordinator of the Sri Lanka Social Security Board. In their lectures, they explained the origin, functioning, dispute resolution mechanism of the Mediation Board, the appointment of members of the Mediation Board, the Social Security Act, pension schemes and their benefits. Vocational training lecturers and students participated in the seminar.
