Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Anil Jayantha said that the government hopes to provide the public with the subsidy in the future in line with the decrease in fuel prices in the world market. The Minister said that fuel prices, which increased due to the war, are decreasing again and pointed out that the public can benefit from the fuel price when ordering fuel at that price. The Minister said this while participating in a press conference held at the Government Information Department yesterday (26). The government has so far provided a subsidy of Rs. 57 billion for fuel and that subsidy is scheduled to end this month.
