Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda and Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, faced indictments in the Colombo High Court on Wednesday in connection with corruption allegations. Both were released on bail following the proceedings.
Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda, the retired former commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, and Yoshitha Rajapaksa have been formally indicted before the Colombo High Court in relation to corruption charges. The indictments were filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), which has been investigating the matter.
