The Department of Meteorology has announced that there is a possibility of occasional showers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts today (27.06.2026).
Accordingly, showers or thundershowers may occur at some places in the Uva province and Ampara, Batticaloa and Mullaitivu districts after 2.00 pm.

In addition, moderate winds at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour may blow at times in the western slopes of the Central Highlands, the North-Central, North-Western and Southern provinces and the Trincomalee district.
