Authorities have brought major drug trafficker Shiran Basik back to Sri Lanka following his deportation from Dubai, where he had been hiding. The 48-year-old Dehiwala resident, now in custody of the Colombo Central Crime Investigation Bureau, has made claims about significant property holdings during questioning.
During interrogation, Basik stated that he owns five hotels situated along Marine Drive in Colombo. Investigation teams continue to question him about these properties and his involvement in drug trafficking operations.
