Defence Secretary attends India-Sri Lanka Defence Industry Symposium as Chief Guest Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Duyakonda (Retd), today (March 25) attended the India-Sri Lanka Defence Industry Symposium as Chief Guest at the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo. The Defence Secretary was welcomed by the High Commissioner of India, H.E. Santosh Jha. The symposium, organized by the High Commission of India for the third time, is being held under the theme “Identifying New Opportunities and Forging New Bonds”. Addressing the gathering, the Defence Secretary emphasized the enduring partnership between India and Sri Lanka based on mutual trust and shared security interests. The tri-service commanders, senior military officers, senior officials of the High Commission of India, industry experts and government officials were among the attendees.
