The third edition of the Janashakthi Life – ICA International Half Marathon is set to take place on 13 December 2026 at Galle Face Green in Colombo. Janashakthi Life, a prominent insurance company and flagship brand of the Janashakthi Group, will maintain its position as title sponsor, reaffirming its commitment to the event following a successful second edition.
Organized by the Indian Cultural Association, the half marathon aims to unite local and international runners alongside corporate teams and fitness enthusiasts. According to organizers, the event is designed to promote active lifestyles and strengthen community bonds while positioning Sri Lanka as an emerging sports tourism destination. The marathon will deliver an internationally certified road-running experience and create opportunities for increased corporate and civic participation.
Beyond the sporting dimension, the initiative carries a community development component. Proceeds from the previous year's event supported a clean water program for underprivileged schools and orphanages across the country. The Indian Cultural Association procured 54 Reverse Osmosis water filtration units for installation in these institutions, with Janashakthi Life contributing toward five of these units.
