This comprehensive book is a culmination of a three-year effort of a aviation veteran, who not only witnessed, but actively participated in a significantly chapter of the country’s aviation saga. Ahamed, who is at present working on his second book ‘Maldivean SeaplaneAviation,’ has a fleet of over 100 Twin Otter Aircraft with four airlines operating seaplanes carrying tourists to distant resorts, from Male International Airport. He served for 15 years at Air Maldives and also spent a total of 38 years in government civil service. This book contains 12 chapters, meticulously curated by author Ahamed Mohamed, who chronicles the fascinating journey of how a nation of scattered islands conquered the skies. Tourism has been one of the key drivers of the Maldives success as a world renowned tourist destination. Q: What is your message for the readers about your book?
